The beginning of our story
The Ci.Mas company was born in May 2019 from the need to realize and make executive the "Basilicore®" project - Flavor and Tradition from the Heart of Basilicata.
The Basilicòre® project thus comes to life in Castelgrande, in the province of Potenza, from the desire of the local citizens to export on national and international territory the agro-environmental heritage that characterizes the Lucanian territory.
The challenge is to create a new opportunity and form of development of the local economy with the Lucanian territory as protagonist and particularly that of the Marmo Platano and the Melandro.
The fulcrum of the entire Basilicòre® project is thus identified in the Lucanian saffron.
In fact, it is around this incredible spice that is constructed an innovative model of development and sale typical products with the objective of boosting the rural economy and the socio-economic development of the territory.
Territory and network
The territory is the protagonist of this project with its conformation, its flavors, its traditions and its citizens.
And it is precisely among citizens, institutions and operators in the food sector that you create a network geared to the qualification of the rural mountain areas of reference, pointing to the recovery of traditions, costumes and habits that make it cultural and identity heritage of immense value.
Starting from these principles and the network created, the Basilicòre® project evolves into a web platform with the primary objective of creating enterprise, development and enhancement of the territory.
All this through the promotion and marketing of typical products and food and wine itineraries that enhance their culture, tradition, art, identity and all related economic activities, including tourism and social aggregation.

Vision and objectives Our Vision represents the starting point, the start-up of a long-term project. A shared program that comprises aspects and elements of an entrepreneurial and cultural type, an extremely ambitious project that sees in the Lucanian territories a great opportunity for development and growth.
