Ci.Mas. is a company that specializes in the marketing of Lucanian Food Specialties, with its registered office and operational headquarters in Castelgrande (Pz), a small and charming mountain village that turns into a pleasant tourist destination in the summer, thanks to its pure air and natural and scenic resources.

The brand it represents and distributes throughout Italy and in some foreign countries is Basilicòre, a name that perfectly embodies the mission of the project through the words Basilicata and Cuore (heart).

Basilicòre brings together numerous Lucanian producers of food excellence. The beginnings of the project date back to about 10 years ago when a group of courageous Lucanian citizens, either residents or of Lucanian origin, began experimenting with saffron cultivation at different altitudes. The idea of enhancing a territory untouched by rural and agronomic potential took shape and gradually developed, involving agricultural and artisan skills. The passion and desire to take up the challenge, combined with an ideal climate in an environment far from any form of pollution, make it possible to aspire to the creation of authentic and genuine flavors. The goal of Basilicòre is to make Lucanian specialties and traditions known to the world and keep them alive in those who proudly preserve their roots and origins, far from Basilicata.

Today, the wide range of Basilicòre includes typical products such as wines, legumes, "peperoni cruschi" (crispy peppers), cheeses, honey, as well as innovations such as craft beer with Lucanian malt and products based on Lucanian saffron. Among these, the Pastazaff line stands out as the first pasta made with saffron from Basilicata, and the Stuzzicòre snacks, tasty artisanal baked goods sweet and savory snacks infused with saffron.

Basilicòre also aims to create a bridge between products and places in order to enhance the entire economic and social context.
