Through a process of combining the ingredients in the dough, saffron and "peperoni cruschi" (a type of dried chili pepper) come together with durum wheat semolina, enhancing its flavor and creating a true typical product from Lucania (Basilicata).

The sweetness of the "peperoni cruschi" complements the saffron, mitigating its bitter aftertaste and giving the "pennoni" a refined taste suitable for the most discerning palates.

The "pennoni" with "peperoni cruschi" and saffron are handcrafted, packaged, and stored according to the highest quality standards. They are made with bronze dies and slowly dried at low temperatures to ensure the preservation of all the properties of durum wheat and saffron used in the dough.
